PhotoPC 750Z, PhotoPC 700, or PhotoPC 600 cameras to your computer.
You can open EPSON Photo!2 directly to communicate with the camera,
you can access EPSON Photo!2 from a TWAIN compliant application using
Acquire, or you can access EPSON Photo!2 from an application that supports
OLE2 (object linking and embedding).

EPSON Photo!2 software also allows you to transmit Optional Program Files
to your PhotoPC 750Z, PhotoPC 700, or PhotoPC 600 camera. These files
can extend your camera's capabilities.

See the EPSON Photo!2 User's Guide for details on setup, operation and

IMPORTANT NOTES

Windows 98
Using SETUP to install EPSON Photo!2 will automatically enter your EPSON
PhotoPC camera into the Imaging Device section of your System's Device
Manager. Properties of your EPSON PhotoPC camera can be found in the
Scanners and Cameras Properties control panel. It is not necessary to
install new hardware using the Add New Hardware Wizard.

USAGE TIPS

Low Battery Power
The camera can act unreliably when battery power becomes too low, especially
when attempting to transfer images to the computer. EPSON Photo!2 will
issue a warning message when it detects battery power dropping below the
limits of reliability. Although EPSON Photo!2 will continue to function,
further use is not recommended until the batteries have been recharged or
replaced.

Multiple Cameras / Compact Flash Memory
If EPSON Photo!2 is to be used with more than one PhotoPC camera, it is
best to close the application before switching cameras and then reopen it
to avoid synchronization problems. Likewise, after inserting or removing a
Compact Flash Memory card from a camera, be sure to restart EPSON Photo!2.

Windows 95 Serial Port Configuration
If EPSON Photo!2 is having problems communicating with the camera at higher
speeds, adjusting the FIFO buffer size in the advanced serial port
configuration dialog box to a lower setting may solve these problems. This
is found in Windows 95's Control Panel / System / Device Manager /
Communications Port (COM:x) / Properties / Port Settings / Advanced. There
is no recommended buffer size because machine speed and configurations vary
greatly, so trial and error is the best approach at this time. High-speed
serial hardware and drivers that support 230400 bps communication may have
additional settings or requirements. Please consult the operating manuals
for these products to ensure reliable communication.

Disk Space
It is important to have plenty of free hard disk space on your computer
before downloading images.

APPLICATION NOTES

o EPSON Photo!2 includes a 32-bit TWAIN Data Source. A few TWAIN
applications can only access 16-bit TWAIN Data Sources and
therefore will not be compatible with EPSON Photo!2 TWAIN. For
example: Sierra Online PrintArtist 3.0 and Aldus PageMaker 5.0
(PageMaker 6.0 is OK). You can still use OLE, or use EPSON Photo!2
to download images to files which may be imported into your 16-bit
        application.
o	Some applications can only download one image at a time using TWAIN.
For example, Microsoft Imager 2.0, and Media Cybernetics Halo 2.2.02.
o	Micrografx Picture Publisher 6.0: After canceling an image transfer
with TWAIN Acquire, an error message "The Twain source has sent an
error message" appears. Click OK to clear the error message and
        continue.
o During transfer to Microsoft Office 97 applications via the OLE
"Insert Object" menu, a "Server Busy" dialog may appear. Wait
until the application has finished drawing the image, then click
        "Retry" to continue.
o	Microsoft Excel 97: Transfer via the OLE "Insert Object" menu
command will not work for Hyper (***H) images. Other image quality
	settings will work fine.
o	CorelDRAW 8: Dragging a large image from Photo!2 to CorelDRAW 8 may
cause a "Server Busy" dialog to appear. Wait until the transfer of
the image is completed, then click "Retry" to continue.

LIMITATIONS

The following problems are known to occur under the specified circumstances:

Serial Port Speed
o	Most computers contain a serial port UART chip that can communicate
at speeds up to 115200 bps. To achieve higher speeds up to
230400 bps, a separate high-speed serial board and/or driver may
        need to be used.
